Alcohol: A Wicked Mistress

Alcohol, I have seen you before glancing at me from the corner of my eye at the bar perusing the onlookers, graceful as ever showing your body to all before you. Suddenly you look in my direction giving a seductive gaze luring me to approach you.

I give in and hold your body, graceful as ever embracing one another. I know you are trouble, but in my weakness I cannot resist your gaze, that shape, that taste. Seduced by your bitter sweet smell, you remove all my problems, keeping each other warm and making my heart smile.

But then I wake up to reality, my problems return and I feel regret as you wander off once again without a trace.

Alcohol you are a wicked temptress
